Create your advertisement in 8 simple steps

What is advertising?

According to Advertising association of UK “Advertising is a means of communication with the users of a product or service. Advertisements are messages paid for by those who send them and are intended to inform or influence people who receive them”.

And

As of Wikipedia” Advertising is a marketing communication that employs an openly sponsored, non-personal message to promote or sell a product, service or idea”

Advertising simply a method in which we can create awareness of our brand and products by paid medium or free. There are many types of advertising. Newspaper, Magazine, Radio, Television etc. But today we are going to talk about online Advertising and how you can create better advertisement that suits your Business. So, Let’s Start…..

The SWOT analysis makes it easier

Before making advertisement that gives you better results and more leads, Firstly you have to know about your product’s Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunity and Threats.

In short SWOT analysis,

Obviously, you start by analysing your strengths of your product.

Start by asking some simple questions, “What makes your product unique? What makes it different from others? What do your customers love about your company or product(s)? What’s your unique selling proposition (USP)?’

Is it looking good or it provides better value. If you are convince with your answer let’s move to the next step. We can use reversed version of same question we asked previously.

We have to analyse our company’s weaknesses. Where is our company lacking. In product or in services? In user engagement or in user experience.

We have to see our product with the eyes of consumer not with the eyes of owner. At last we have to find barriers or threats which holding our company back.

Clearly define your main objectives

If you have no objective or purpose it means you have no clarity about your product or services. If you have clear objectives and goals it dramatically improves your performance.

But Question arises, how you can make goals and define your objectives. Here is a framework known as S.M.A.R.T framework to clearly make our goals.

Specific- Your goals should be specific i.e. your objective should be in detail and there should be no misconception about it.You can use some questions like what, when, where, why, which and how.

Measureable- you should clearly measure your daily efforts and goals.

Achievable- Your goal should be achievable that it should not be hypothetical.

Realistic- You should set realistic goals that can be achieved.

Time-Bounded- You should set specific time period to achieve your goals and follow it correctly.

Research your audience before your enter

What is audience research?

Audience research is defined as any Commun ication research that is conducted on specific audience segments to gather information about their attitudes, knowledge, interests, preferences, or behaviours with respect to prevention issues.

Segments may be based on various grouping strategies, such as race and ethn icity, age, education, or family income. Some investigators refer to audience research as "formative " or research.

What is the purpose of audience research?

Before finalising any project, research must be done before even thinking about the initial design. The point of doing this is so that the producer can geta better insight of the target audience, it would be pointless creating something that's not going to appeal to the right people.

It's important part of the procedure as it's time consuming, and a waste of money if the product is not created the way expected. Knowing the kind of people you want to target the product at can create a wide variety of ways to advertise the product also.

Follow your design process

Obviously, this is the hardest part of the entire advertisement creation process.

Everything you did until now, each other previous steps, prepared you for this one.

Now, it’s time to put your creativity to work and actually design your Advertisement

Also, it will help you if you can show your rough designs to people who are in your target audience.

Their inputs and advice may help you adjust your advertisements in order to meet the targeted demographic needs and values.

Make it seem urgent, show them the reason to buy

People are not interested in what you sell, people are interested in which problem you are solving.

Add some call to actions (CTA), and make some urgency , shown them the reason why should they buy your product.

Headline of the advertisement should be catchy so that it can grab the attention. You can make your advertisement super catchy by using AIDA framework.

AIDA simply stands for-

Your Advertisement should catch the attention of the audience and generate interest for your products and it should generate the desire of buying and then simply give call to action.

Proin rhoncus magna sollicitudin aliquam interdum.

Use Testimonials

Testimonials are the best elements to persuade people to buy your product because people are interested in people and when they see

other person buy the same product, they will easily convince in buying the product.

You can use testimonials or case studies or customer’s review and put in your advertisement to advertisement a professional look

Conclusion

The rules, techniques and methods to creating a classified are never ending. By understanding and playing with design rules most definitely helps to create a visually stunning and effective ad, a lot of the effectiveness of an ad comes

down to creative thinking Look at your product, look at your brand, and try to think laterally. What new perspective can you put on this product? What devices can you use to promote it?

Would a visual metaphor work well, or perhaps an iconic image, or maybe a symbol or two.
